I know I need a new post but my head is as empty as the inside of a jellyfish. So I thought I'd give y'all the opportunity to say hiya and speak your mind about whatever you want to. There's no judgements here!
May I just remind everyone that there are only 7 days until Halloween, 9 days until Daylight Savings Time ends, 11 days until the presidential election, 18 days until Veterans Day, 34 days until Thanksgiving, and 62 days until Christmas.
= I'm totally hyped for Halloween. I hope trick or treaters come to my house. = Give me an extra hour of sleep anytime! = It'll be so cool to see the outcome of the pres race, and what changes may or may not follow :) = My kids love going to the National Cemetery and seeing all the flags, even in the cold wet mud. = I think I'm going home for Thanksgiving! = Peace and presents! There's nothing better.
I started visualizing a jellyfish and its empty head - and my head went blank. AAAH. I think it's contagious!!
I'm in the middle of 6 books right now - all of which I'm enjoying immensely and really want to finish. It's the product of not being able to resist that "shiny" book on the library's bookshelf. Last night I picked up ANOTHER book I couldn't resist. Plus I have 4 books from Amazon.com that I'm waiting to read. I'M A BOOKAHOLIC!!! I'm envisioning a super read-a-thon where I dedicate all my free time to just reading and reading and reading and don't come out until I'm done.
Did you ever have read-a-thons at school, like elementary school, where you just sat and read all day long? I think I need to take time off from work to do this. And get a bean bag chair ;)
Part of my problem is I'm not really in a hurry to finish the books. I love being IN the book, discovering the world it takes me to. But I have the conflict of Library due dates - and all those other books I also want to discover. How do you solve that??
And how about the subject of putting things off because you need things to be "just right". I need to get my flu shot - but I want to wait until it's 'convenient' to feel kind of grumpy and not well. Right. When will that be? I need to get my driver's license and passport renewed. But will I EVER have a good hair/clothes day good enough to be able to go in for those pictures?
Lisa I picked up A Year of Living Biblically on your recommendation. I can't wait to read it. But I also picked up Sell Your Home Faster with Feng Shui. So send your home selling chi my way - bay-bee~!
Here's what I'm thinking: I'm going to go on a wishing well hunt, casting for our "wish come true" (i.e. you selling your house) in every well, creek, fountain, fish tank, storm drain, and cup of coffee I can find. I'd wish on stars too - - but I never seem to SEE any falling stars. Maybe a trip to the Planetarium is in order.
Maybe you should go off Diet Coke for a week or two. Now that I am back on I am so happy and giddy, it tastes good again!
Yummmmmmmm
My brain is full of mommy worries, Primary stuff, sore muscles, debt goals, and messy house musings. It is not empty at all, and I kind of wish it were.
My blog title comes from a poem I wrote at a time when I was feeling lost. Here's a little snippet:
Someday I'll have courage to spread my wings. Someday I'll run fast and try new things. Someday I will soar. Someday I'll accept help from a friend. Someday I'll give what I've got to lend. Someday I will soar. Someday I'll learn things I can then teach. Someday I'll grasp what's just out of reach. Someday I will soar. Today I woke up and decided, somehow, my someday would start right here, right now. Today I will open my mouth and roar, because today is the someday I will soar.

I started a photoblog earlier this year, if you click on this pic it will take you there. But because I'm not going to post a new picture each day, I'm moving away from the photoblogging and putting my favorite pics on this blog.
